My First Organizing Job in Houston

My first organizing job in Houston began in 2022 with a woman who had just lost her husband. She was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start, so our work quickly became more than organizing—it became a partnership built on trust and care. I’ve continued helping her maintain a peaceful, functional home ever since. She’s not just a client now, but a close friend and one of my biggest supporters. Her story reminds me that organizing isn’t just about tidying—it’s about healing and creating calm where it matters most.

Garage Transformation: Reclaiming and Redefining Space

This project was deeply personal for the client—she wanted to clear out anything tied to her ex-husband and create a space that felt truly her own. Since the garage is her main entryway, making it warm and welcoming was essential. I repurposed wood from the garage to build a custom worktable and pulled accent colors from a cherished painting from her mother. We mounted the painting near the door so it greets her each day. She also wanted her gardening tools hidden, so I redesigned the cabinetry to store everything discreetly. The result is a garage that feels intentional, personal, and empowering—a fresh start for her new chapter.

Rediscovering What was Lost in your Office

This office needed a simple refresh, but as we organized, she rediscovered items she thought were gone forever. It wasn’t just tidying—it was restoring a sense of control. Moments like this remind me how powerful organizing can be for both the space and the person living in it.

Turning a Detached Garage Into a Finished Space

This detached garage started as an unfinished, overlooked space. I suggested adding light wood–style wall panels to bring warmth and structure, and she immediately loved the idea. The transformation was instant—what once felt cold and empty became a functional, inviting extension of her home. Sometimes a fresh perspective and a bold design choice are all a space needs to feel complete.
